Benoit and I met in 2004, and connected instantly. We share the same energy and joie de vivre, but also an insatiable drive to learn, question, improve, and achieve the absolute best.
I grew up near Toulouse in southwestern France, in a family of entrepreneurs—fruit farmers, bakers, and diamond cutters who taught me the value of precision, tradition and a pioneering spirit in pursuit of one’s own passion. When I discovered winemaking was my vocation, I earned degrees in viticulture and oenology and made wine for several years in southwestern France and India. In 2001, I became a partner in an historic family cooperage and discovered the wider world of winemaking, traveling to diverse wine growing regions and experiencing a broader cross section of wines and people. That work led me to Benoit… my friend, my collaborator, and godfather to my son Auguste.
