I fell in love visiting this property in St Émilion back in 2017. Located near this magnificent 13^th Century “Grande Muraille” that once was a Dominican Monastery built to protect the monks who inhabited it, this legendary location is known to produce exceptional wines. I felt immediately compelled to produce a wine from this incredible place.

Saint-Émilion is a magical site, place of pilgrimage for disciples of fine wine and good living. The medieval town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 – sits only about 20 miles northeast of the city of Bordeaux, but it is a different world entirely. The charming little village perches on a limestone plateau surrounded by rolling vineyards, country roads and some of the region’s most prestigious estates.

Less than 330 yards west of Saint- Émilion’s distinctive clocktower, surrounded on three sides by the esteemed Clos Fourtet, lies the Grand Cru Classé vineyard Le Châtelet: our newest single-vineyard source for Fait-Main Saint-Émilion. The sunny exposure and limestone-rich soils of this historic 8-acre site produce fruit with incredible energy and perfumed aromatics. The medium- to full-bodied wines are pure and intense, full of warm plum, crushed black fruits, and thrilling tension.
