I am pleased to share with you two new Cabernet Sauvignon wines from the dynamic 2022 vintage: 2022 Fait-Main Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard and 2022 Fait-Main Tierra Roja Vineyard
As the growing season unfolded, it appeared we might be in for another classic Napa vintage. The valley enjoyed plenty of much-needed winter rains and a temperate spring, which prompted an early budbreak and bloom, and greater canopy development than in 2021. A lengthy stretch of warm summer days shifted harvest dates much earlier than usual. In fact, we were fortunate to harvest before or during the first few days of the heat wave, as we source from early ripening sites, enabling us to achieve healthy fermentation and produce vibrant wines.
Our 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard offers abundant red, blue and black fruits with explosive notes of blueberry and blackberry on the full-bodied palate, accented by mineral undertones and chocolate notes. The mid-palate shows sweet, layered depth, velvety tannins, and outstanding length. Our 2021 Las Piedras won a perfect 100-point score from Jeb Dunnuck last year, and we believe that this 2022 will be a great following act.
Bright, rich and voluptuous, the 2022 Fait-Main Tierra Roja Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon offers notes of cassis, red and black fruits, dark chocolate, and espresso. Ripe tannins and beautiful concentration deliver a full-bodied wine with marvelous freshness and depth, culminating in a long, irresistible finish.
Our Fait-Main Tasting Lounge is now open in downtown St. Helena, as well as at the Brasswood winery by appointment. It would be our pleasure to host you for a tasting on your next visit to Napa Valley.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your support of Fait-Main Wines. We hope to see you soon.
Amitiés,
